A bit of an off-topic post . . .

Its been an eventful week here in SoCal.

While I’m fortunate enough to have escaped the recent wildfires, a former colleague was evacuated with homes destroyed about a quarter of a mile from where he lived.

It was eerie to see a pink orange sky at midday.

I’ve posted a few photos of what the sky looked like in my neighborhood.

Nope, those aren’t storm clouds . . . that’s smoke.

My colleague and his wife went to bed Sunday night watching Desperate Housewives. The next day they were wondering if they would have a home to return to.

Just shows you how fast life can change.
