Rob, I enjoyed the video and the message. Keep them coming. I love your idea of creating success in something and then selling that success. That's a powerful strategy to build on. Have you written or recorded anything on how best to isolate that one thing?
Hi Tom:
Thanks for the comment. Here are a few ideas to help you focus on what success you can market to your customers:
1.
It has to be something they really want. Sounds obvious – but you’d be surprised how many folks ignore it. They are the ones who are buying from you. So make sure your success is something that will get them interested not just something you think is great.
2.
It should be a verifiable, quantifiable success. Supply numbers and quantities (for a sales or financial program) or milestones in your own life (after 20 years of fruitless dating I met my wife 2 months after taking this program) are best. In 5-Figure Teleseminars, I breakdown the 5-Figure Revenue stream I was able to achieve with a string of teleseminars, even though my mailing list was less then 1,000 at the time.
3.
Make sure its different (or is positioned differently) than what other folks are offering. It’s the old axiom “Dog bites Man” is not news but “Man bites Dog” is. Some guru making five figures from their teleseminars with a humongous mailing list is not news. Doing the same thing with a mailing list of less than a thousand is.
4.
Make sure the pool of potential customers is large enough to make it worth your while. The success you have achieved needs to be something a lot of other people will willingly pay to find out how to replicate.
5.
Make sure you are able to easily reach that pool of interested potential customers with speaking gigs, teleseminars, or any of the other tried and true enrollment and visibility strategies. You must be able to connect the dots between something a lot of people want and where you can find them.
Hope this helps!
